INTO THE SPIDER HOODIE

$222.00

MIKEYJPRODUCTIONS PRESENTS my first and most exciting sewing-only project: my Spider-man flip 🕷️🕸️👕

This project was so monumental for me!!! I had this old stained spiderman tshirt that didn’t fit me anymore, and an old pillowcase that was begging to be retired. So when I felt the calling to chop them both up and remix them together to create a spider-hoodie, I enthusiastically took on making an homage to my favorite superhero ever, spiderman :)

When I started making clothes I was limited to just printing single color basic images onto clothes, and I wasn’t even sure what I was doing, I just followed my instincts and decided I wouldn’t be turned off of creating just because I was a novice, or not the best or most talented artist. But even tho I felt a lot of this resistance to getting into such unknown territories, I decided one day I wanted to learn sewing too !

So this project was me practicing going headstrong into projects that pushed my skills and made me a better artist and in the end it turned out so damn good, you might never guess this was my first sewing forward project!

Cheers to making art even when it’s not perfect and just being happy with the fact that I created something all on my own.
