PROTECT OUR SNOW
Another fine addition to my “PROTECT” series !!!
This one was part of my final project for my class: Science, Politics & Policy
The goal was to advocate for policies in politics to be created and guided off of real, tangible science. Too often (especially with our new administration), policies are created without adhering to the science.
Regulations put in place to keep our natural resources clean and healthy, which is essential for human life on earth, are being rolled back so corporate greed can continue to reap unimaginable profits. This needs to stop.
So to help advocate for more of a reciprocal relationship with our 🌎 I made this jacket. Specifically, this jacket is indented to raise awareness over the fact that Colorado’s snowpack is decreasing more and more every single year. Not only does snow have a huge economic impact on our state, but it also contributes in a big way to spring snowmelt, downstream waters and so rumored.
Also, I fckn love the snow. Recreating outside is one of the main reasons I moved to Colorado, so it only made sense for me to do something to give back to the winters that have given me so much.
❄️ 50% of the proceeds from this jacket will be donated to @protectourwinters ❄️
