Thanksgiving 2016 in Paris

Immersing myself in Parisian culture, I sought out new experiences. Responding to an online ad for a photographer, I embarked on a heartwarming project. Partnering with Uber Eats, we prepared and delivered Thanksgiving meals to Syrian refugees in Paris. Through the lens of my camera, I captured the essence of community and shared humanity as we bridged cultural divides and offered a taste of home. This experience not only honed my social media & photography skills but also deepened my understanding of intercultural communication and empathy.

Additionally, I often look back on this gig as one of the first where I felt a calling toward my future in a string of odd jobs I took on after failing out of undergrad. Rather than returning to community college, I chose to chase experiences that felt meaningful, setting out on a journey to find my calling. For the first time, I was doing work I genuinely loved and felt proud of. It was the beginning of realizing what I was truly meant to do.
