Tipper & Friends @ the Gorge: Yoko's closing message
Emi V. AKA Yoko back at it again with using their platform to advocate for a better world!!
Blurring the lines between work and play can sometimes be a bit… complicated…
Thankfully, with Yoko, this is not the case at all.
As a longtime friend of Emi, it’s not like I really consider them a client before anything else, although in a way, that is what they are to me, too. But regardless of the status of our relationship, one thing MUST be said. And that is how dang incredibly PROUD of them I am.
What started out as a dream between two CU students has now become a full-fledged mission that has seen itself in some absolutely iconic venues ACROSS THE NATION.
To see the Yoko project grow from something that would have me out to events to speak, to get to the point where the artist themself is finding their own voice is such a beautiful evolution of this service I am honing in on presenting to the world. To see them have the opportunity to speak their truth to power at such a legendary venue in front of what may have been her largest crowd to date was such an incredibly proud moment that I will not be forgetting about any time soon.
As their consultant, I was able to sit down with Yoko and help identify themes and relevant topics they care deeply about, and curate an incredibly brief call to action. The theme: despite the hardship existing all around us these days, it is more important than ever to treat these festivals as a breeding ground for community, motivation and inspiration.
